Blade services

Leaf maintenance is very important for good efficiency of wind turbines. Bringing and keeping the rotor blades in perfect condition increases the turbine’s production output and ultimately increases its efficiency. We prefer to combine leaf maintenance with other repairs or maintenance. Thus, the turbine does not stand idle unnecessarily. Inspection, maintenance and repair of rotor blades of all brands of wind turbines? At Iver, you’ve come to the right place.

“We make sure that every day we have wind turbines
in perfect condition. This is how we contribute
to maximize returns for our clients.”

Inspections

We perform inspections cost-effectively, using a telescope inspection system or rope access (climbing techniques). This saves costs compared to aerial platforms and sky climbers. A detailed report with findings and recommendations from our experts follows inspection.

The telescopic inspection system

Telescope inspections are performed quickly and accurately from the ground. The telescope system consists of a tripod, an HD camera placed on a motorized robotic head, and a laptop computer. Thus, our experts identify the defects and they can be recorded in an accurate report

Our professionals can step in
at any point in the life cycle of
the turbine.

Wondering what Iver can do for you?

Rope access and skyclimber

Our experts use rope access to perform work. This is a method of working at height that involves the use of ropes, climbing harnesses and climbing equipment. Through this technique, our experts perform inspection, maintenance and repair on wind turbines. Iver Blade Services also owns its own sky climber, a type of platform suspended against the mast of a turbine. This allows our blade experts to safely perform their work at height. Preventive maintenance

Iver is also the right place for rotor blade maintenance. Like the wind turbine, rotor blades need periodic maintenance. Preventive maintenance saves many maintenance costs, noise pollution and major consequential damages. In addition, it improves the efficiency of the turbine. You can have this included in your normal maintenance contract or enter into a special maintenance contract for blade service with us. In addition to leaf maintenance, we also perform tower maintenance.

Repair

Damage to rotor blades is common. Consider, for example, damage caused by lightning, wear and tear and erosion. The repair will fix any holes, cracks, fractures and/or manufacturing defects. In addition, damage to the blade technical part of the blade can be resolved, consider repairs to the tip flange, tip cables and tip mechanism adjustment. Installation, blade optimization and replacement of tip receptors on the lightning diversion system can also be taken care of. Our specialists also write a detailed report on repairs with findings and recommendations.
