Iver strengthens position in German wind market with acquisition of ENO Energy’s service activities

Lelystad, 19 January 2026 – Iver, Experts in Wind, is taking an important step in the German wind market with the acquisition of the service and maintenance activities of ENO Energy Systems GmbH, a subsidiary of the German turbine manufacturer ENO Energy. While Iver had initially planned to open a service hub in Rostock, this acquisition immediately provides the company with a fully established location at this site, including offices, workshop and warehouse facilities. Combined with several regional service hubs across Germany, this creates a strong and highly accessible service network for wind turbine owners throughout the country.

With the acquisition, Iver is growing by approximately 60 experienced employees and significantly expanding its number of teams, service locations and market position. In addition, Iver will have access to a fully operational Remote Control Centre. This strengthens Iver’s position in one of Europe’s largest wind energy markets.

Experienced ENO Energy specialists join Iver

As a result of the acquisition, a large number of ENO Energy Systems technicians and engineers with years of experience in the German wind market are joining Iver. They bring with them specialist knowledge of various turbine brands and systems. According to CEO John van Soest, this team fits in well with the way Iver works:

‘These are professionals who operate safely and professionally under all circumstances and bring a wealth of knowledge about the German market. Within Iver, they will be given the opportunity to develop further and create sustainable value for our customers.’

The new colleagues will work according to Iver’s (safety) standards, supported by in-house training, procedures, tooling and systems. This will provide additional capacity for maintenance, projects and repair work in Germany.

Expansion in the German wind market

The Rostock branch is a central hub for maintenance, service and projects in Central Europe. Work is coordinated and supported from this location by a network of smaller service hubs in Germany. This enables Iver to respond quickly, operate regionally and support customers efficiently.

Managing Director of Iver Germany, Geert Leeuwis, sees plenty of opportunities:

‘Germany is Europe’s largest wind market with ambitious growth targets. In addition to the repowering market, there are many turbines that remain operational for as long as possible. Innovative solutions are therefore crucial, and I see many opportunities in this area. The knowledge and experience gained in the Netherlands form a strong foundation for this.’

Remote Control Center and growing customer base

An important part of the acquisition is ENO Energy Systems Remote Control Centre in Germany. From this location, Iver remotely monitors turbines, analyses data and intervenes immediately where necessary, resulting in fewer unplanned downtimes and maximum efficiency for wind turbines.

As part of the acquisition, Iver has offered ENO Energy’s customers new service and maintenance contracts. Continuity is key here: work is carried out by the trusted technicians who are now part of Iver, supplemented by Iver’s processes, systems and expertise. Customers have access to Iver’s full range of services, from regular servicing and inspections to major component replacements and lifecycle support.

A strategic step towards further growth

With its local headquarters in Rostock, additional service hubs and extra teams, Iver is building a scalable and future-proof service platform in Germany. For customers, this means better regional coverage, shorter response times, more capacity and access to broad technical expertise. The expansion is fully in line with Iver’s international strategy to grow in key European wind markets and help owners and operators get the most out of their wind turbines.
